Three orange tabby cats
Neither like the other
Yet I tell name after name
When my cat's in trouble
Spanky was orange. but sprinkled in white
Turkey and milk is what he liked
He was slinky and fat
He was my mom's cat
He would sleep with me
But follow her with glee
He turned green and had to be put to sleep
Now he rests on Brush Creek, in the woods deep
After Spanky, mom said no more
But without a cat our house was a bore
So off to the shelter, we went to look
Another orange tabby is what we took
I wanted a kitten, cuddly and small
What I got was smacked with an orange paw
I turned around and there was John
When he jumped in the window the deal was done
John was orange with a fluffy tail
Leave him alone and he eats the mail
He loved lamb and rice and water with ice
Mom can't get out of his site
He likes to bite and play
He would scratch me everyday
Hope you don't need any heat
Because he made the vent his seat
I left for college and left John behind
He was never really mine
After three years with our a kitty
I became a wee bit silly
So off to the shelter once again
I knew it would be orange in the end
She was so cute, all alone in her cage
I waited around for Peter to say okay
But then I locked her in my truck
Man, I really suck
She hid under the seat
While on the window I beat
Her name is Miracle, I added the Lou
Throw her a toy and she will bring it back to you
I was amazed when she didn't bite
she just likes to jump on me at night
She is long and lean
Not the least bit mean
The vet says she's over weight
But the diet food she would hate
Beside me she will sleep
Under the couch she will creep
She is uniquely mine
But the other I would take in by the flip of a dime
