Family is like the ocean sometimes peaceful and calm
others wild and thrashing
Sometimes you can enjoy the sun
Other times the waves crash and you nearly drown
Sometimes the water is cool and relaxing
Other times you wonder what lurks below in the deep and dark
Sometime you don't want to leave
Other times you are glad to be miles away

Haircut
So I have been debating on if I should cut my hair out not. It is about halfway down my back now and if I cut it I am going all the way. I want to do it because it is heavy and it gets on my nerves. And it would be easier to deal with when clinicals start back up for school. But I don't want to cut it because it has took me years to get it this long and last time it was short my face looked fat. But I have lost weight since then. So I am still torn. I may end up doing it for my Halloween costume anyways.
This is the style I am thinking about getting if I cut it short. Thoughts?

Summertime
So I had all these great plans and intentions for the summer to blog and post stories and poems and all kinds of things. Now here is is Aug 10th and school starts in days that are so close that I don't even want to count and I have not posteyd anything. In fact it was Peter who said the other day, "I keep checking this one girl's blog, but she never updates." and when I go who? and he gives me a look, I realize I need to do some catching up.
So this summer. How did it go? It was great. I did work quite a bit to make some extra money so we could do some things. But we did get to do some pretty fun things. Like what you ask? Well I will tell you.
In June we went to Atlanta to see the great Jimmy Buffett in concert. It was amazing. A friend mentioned that he might have some extra tickets and asked if we were interested. Peter half heartly said maybe. I screamed "YES YES YES!!" So we ventured down to Atlanta and the Lakewood Arena (which btw, looks just like Starwood used to in Nashville) and to see Jimmy. I have never seen tailgating like this before. We get to arena at noon. Concert at 7:00. by 2:30.........

But I rally in time for the concert and drive us back to the hotel. And don't judge! What did you think was going to happen when the guys across the walk from us set up a free tequila shot tiki bar for all the women to enjoy? Oh and wearing a skirt turned out not to be such a great idea.
Later in June we traveled to Nashville to see Kenny and Tim in concert. It was an awesome concert as well and I stayed sober for that one. We stayed with my cousins Donna and Tracy who live close to the Titan's stadium, which is where the concert took place.
In July we went zip lining for Peter's 29th birthday. It was scary fun. I was so nervous and scared at first that I was almost ready to quit. But at about the 4th line I got the hang out it and started enjoying it. Peter, my little adventurer enjoyed every minute of it.

Also my mom came to visit for only the about the 4ht or 5th time in the past ten years that I have lived in Knoxville. She came up with her friend Kim and they spent about 4 days here at the house with us. We went to the flea markets and showed them around Knoxville a little bit. We had a good time. And it was good to see her in Knoxville for a change.
Also in July, I went to Louisville with Sarah and Zoe to see Lenae, Jordan, and Billie. It was really good to have my two best friends and their daughters in the same place. Sarah and Zoe and I wen to the Louisville Zoo and I am not sure if I had more fun or Zoe. After a couple days of visiting there Sarah and Zoe drove me back down to Knoxville where they stayed out the week. Having a rambunctious three, almost four year old in my house was definitely different. Peter fell in love with her and had a blast playing with her. I managed to teach her to play "Pirates" on the playground, how to steal your face courtesy of Family Guy, and to teach her the "Little Bunny Foo Foo" song which we had to sang a million and one times after that. And Peter got his wish that she would love him before she left. She has always been bashful around him. But it took about 12 hours before she snuggled up to him and once he agreed to lay in the floor and play the cover up game she loved him too. It still amazes me that Sarah has a soon to be four year old. And not only that, but that she is so freaking smart. She knows thinks that I didn't know four year olds knew. and she is so adorable.
Peter has not met Billie yet and I can not wait to go back and see her again. I am going down to see Zoe again for her 4th birthday on the 25th of this month. Hopefully we will get to sneak up to Louisville one weekend so he can see Billie.
August so far has been a pretty down month. I did finally give in and go get allergy tested so I could get some allergy meds again. I am pretty much allergic to every tree in Knoxville, and grass, and mold. Mold is the worst. Also dogs popped. But I don't think I have much of a physical reaction to them But I have not been around them that much. Right now I am just taking the medication since I was borderline and did not have to get the shots.
Today I went and donated blood. Peter was going to do it also, but since he is in the middle of his training for the Baltimore Marathon he decided it was not a good idea to give away a pint of his blood.
I had planned to write a second to my Holly Simms story. So far I have an okay intro and can not get any further than that. Maybe one of these day. I also planned to finish my zombie story I started for a former co workers son. Have not done that. I have, however, read a bunch of books. I have read quite a few of Jim Butcher's Dresden file series. And I have branched out and read some other books suggested to me by some friends.
I am still doing Zumba. Just about every day it is offered unless I am out of town or have to work. But I still love it and have met some really nice girls. I even went out last night with two girls and had dinner.
Now I am beginning to think it is almost time to start getting back into school stuff. I have looked at my math stuff a couple times this summer, but have not read the chapters like it seems like some people are doing according to the facebook page.
Well, that is the summer in a nut shell. I will try to do better about posting.
WTF!
So I wrote this really long blog the other day entitled Summertime and it included pictures and everything and it is no where to be found..... where did it go I ask you?
Oh there it is under Drafts! Guess I didn't hit the save button!! Silly Cole!
